I LOVE boots! The thing I love most is that if you invest in a few basic pairs, you can wear them over and over again through the Fall and Winter Season for a few years. There may be many different styles of boots but these 3 styles are here to stay!
In my opinion knee-highs are a staple. Knee-high boots come in many different lengths. My favorite are the riding boots. They sit just below the knee and I think they are the most flattering on most women. They are great for everyday use especially if they are flat. a pair of knee highs with a heel are lovely for dressier occasions. They are very elegant and classy. Grab a couple leather pairs and you are set!
Calf-boots; boots that reach only the calf can be very tricky to wear. They cut off the leg and make them look shorter and chunkier. If you do not want to draw attention to your legs then tucking in your jeans or leggings is not a good idea. These boots can be very comfortable under skirts or dresses.
Block-Heel Ankle Boots:
I'm crazy for an ankle boot! They are incredibly versatile. They look so good with pants, skirts and dresses. The block heel is a great alternative to the skinny heel. The heel helps elongate your legs without the risk of toppling over! These boots are far more comfortable than you typical heel. Block-heel boots look great with cropped pants, or leggings tucked in. They also look very flattering with a fabulous skirt. These boots are elegant but rugged kind of look. Like "I'm a lovely lady but don't mess with me or you'll regret it" kind of look.
Flat Ankle Boots:
These are a great go to boot. They are perfect for every day use. Ideal for running around and casual outings. These boots are the essence of comfort and versatility. Just throw them on and go! They look fantastic with jeans and skirts. Be careful they can make your legs look short so you want to go for a pointed toe to lengthen the leg a little if you are wearing these flat boots.
Tips for finding our perfect pair of boots:
Consider your lifestyle. If you are a busy lady, purchasing all stiletto heel boots is not a wise choice.
Make sure they are not too tight. This is especially for the mid-calf boot. Very tight boots are not only uncomfortable to wear but don't look great either.
Invest in a variety of boots. I recommend having a few pairs in different colors. Go for neutrals like black, brown, camel, grey or navy blue.
