As a busy mompreneur, I really gravitate towards outfits that are easy to wear, are comfortable (this was not a priority before coming a mom) and make me feel and look great. This outfit; I believe; checks all those boxes for me. I absolutely love the color combination and each piece can be reworked with so many other pieces to make a whole new, fabulous outfit!
I came across this shirt in H&M after having my son. I was looking for something mommy/baby friendly (if you know what I mean). I hadn’t really been much for button up shirts but I needed them to serve a purpose. I figured a neutral shirt like this would go with basically any hijab and would be a good staple in my wardrobe. It did not take long before I was head over heels for this top. Fortunately, I had bought it in a solid black as well. The fabric is so light and comfortable. I have been trying to wear longer more modest tops, so I appreciated the extra length in the back of this blouse. I went back to purchase this same top in other colors and was devastated not to find another color that would work for me. I’m still on the hunt!
Cotton Jersey hijabs have become my go to hijabs. With two little monkeys and us being on the go all the time, I need something that is quick and easy to wrap, versatile and still looks fabulous! I love that although this hijab is a cotton, it has some sparkle which makes it so ideal for day or evening. Nobody said you can’t rock sparkle while grocery shopping!
One item I added to my wardrobe last summer that I NEVER thought I would own are light wash boyfriend jeans! I always looked at them as being too casual, and envisioned not looking put together with them on. After seeing this trend take off, I decided to give it a go. I love them! I am totally sold on the idea of a dual purpose item. These jeans are casual where I can slip them on with a plain long sleeve t-shirt and flats but then pair them with some fabulous shoes like these leopard print pumps and head out for a date night. It creates such a fantastic contrast.
Lately, I have been totally obsessed with these short necklaces that sit just at the collarbone. I have them in all colors and styles but this one here is probably one of my favorites! I can’t pinpoint why I love it so much but I find it’s not too simple, but still can be paired with so many items. The light pink is easy to go with many colors, while the navy and gold are neutrals.
I have to admit, I’ve never been brave enough to mix patterns but I decided to go for it with this outfit. I hope you love it as much as I do!
