There are a ton of videos on YouTube with new and exciting hijab styles that you may be dying to try but the concern is often the neck coverage. Many styles are not designed to cover the neck so we need to try other ways of providing the same coverage. Here are 5 tried and tested ways of covering your neck while enjoying a new hijab look.
1. A Ninja Underscarf:
These are a must-have for any Mohajaba. They give you two in one coverage. Head and neck. They are so comfortable and come in many colors and styles. You can find them with a basic front, a pleated crisscross front and even with satin for dressier occasions.
2. A Neck Scarf:
This is an option is a great one! Neck scarves are a great way to add color and a really trendy addition to your outfit. You can use either a square scarf which is a really chic look. Or perhaps try a rectangular Shayla. You can wrap the Shayla around your neck in a number of different ways. I absolutely love this option!
3. A Neck Cover/ Faux Collar:
I only recently started wearing these neck covers and I have no idea why it took me so long! They are amazing! They are light weight and so comfortable to wear. They fit so nicely under your tops and they have a piece in the front and the back for lower neck lines. They can be found in many different colors. At the moment I am using basic black and white, but you can find them in other neutrals as long as other non-neutrals. I love to use these under my neck scarves, just as extra neck coverage.
4. Tube Underscarf:
My friend introduced me to this idea. I hadn’t even thought of it! Basically you pull your tube underscarf down so that it sits right around your neck like a turtleneck. Fantastic!
5. A Turtleneck Shirt:
This is a really basic way of covering your neck that I think most Mohajabas have tried. This can be done 2 ways depending on your level of coverage. The first way is to simply let the shirt turtleneck cover the neck. The second way which offers extra coverage, would be to pin the turtleneck into your underscarf. Turtlenecks are a staple in any Mohajaba wardrobe. They can be found at stores such a H&M, Aritzia and Forever21 along with a number of other stores.
